Light Weight Version for Aircraft
- designed specifically for aircraft: weighing approx 300g per exit, HaLO Light Weight will not impinge upon all important aircraft AUM (All up Mass)
- designed specifically to penetrate turbid (murky) water: to simulate that found in UK Sea Conditions and inland waters, to remain effective in a worst case underwater environment (based on in-theatre experience)
- crash/smoke activation: can be used in line with smoke switching and accelerometer (g) switching for automatic activation following a crash or high impact landing (to assist crew vacating dark, smoke-filled cabin)
- highly durable: all components are designed to withstand ‘troop abuse’, weather abuse (-40 to +70 Deg C), general fatigue and contaminates
- meets required military aviation standards: HaLO has been designed to meet (where required) DefStan 0970; Mil Standard 810F (testing); NATO STANAG 3870; MIL-PRF-85676A (AS)
Heavy Duty Ballistic Shock Proof Version for Armoured Vehicles
- designed specifically for armoured vehicles: stemming from a US Special Forces requirement to counter risk of death/injury following a ‘roll over’ event or ditching into water (urban canals, rivers, irrigation ditches)
- ballistic shock proof: designed to remain functional following a mine or IED attack of up to 500g
- designed specifically to penetrate turbid (murky) water: to simulate that found in urban canals, rivers and irrigation ditches (based on in-theatre experience)
roll-over activation: can be used in line with roll-over/attitude switch to automate system during a roll-over incident - blast activation: can be used in line with accelerometer (g) switch for automatic activation following a high intensity attack (to assist crew vacating dark, smoke-filled environment
